The Colors of Emilon

  • Some of you may remember my nuBSG fanfic, "Battlestar Urantia", in which I introduced a new colony... a planet called Emilon. Way back when, I had designed a banner and flag for this new colony, but the .ai was lost when my old external hard drive failed, so I am trying to re-create it anew. Below is my start, with the basic tricolor base of the banner, upon which I will add the "phoenix" emblem of the Twelve Colonies.

I have found a proper version of the "phoenix" emblem, but unfortunately, it is in .cdr format, and I cannot open it with either Illustrator or Photoshop CS2, so I must find a way to get it converted to either .ai or .svg format.

  • i remember both of it, the nuBSG and your flag set (this one was on scifimeshes, i think) that is wonderful stuff. i look forward to see them and more from you.

.cgr-files are difficult to convert. i found once a small converter. but it didn't worked properly. maybe someone here can help you with an .ai-file of the phoenix symbol....

  • Wait a bit, I think I can help.

Well, the Emilon symbol, I still have it as I created it a long time ago when okudagrams.com was still alive.

    If you need it ...

  • And these were the sketches for an Emilon symbol, about five years ago.

Or did you develop another one so far?

  • Kmpr´rak, thank you very much for the converted emblem... I appreciate that! In addition to that, Dietrich Kerner also helped me out with the emblem, so now the banner is finished.

I remember those other emblems you made, and I am still considering them, along with a few other designs. There will be two versions of the Emilon banner... the one you see here, and one for the time BEFORE they (the Emilons) make contact with the Urantia.

  • Well, these two ships are NOT from Emilon... they are both Colonial ships, part of Urantia's ragtag fleet. Both are freighters. The first is the "Telesto", a a small Tauron freighter designed and illustrated by Alexandre Laroche.

The second is the "Mola Taru", a a pre-Cylon War era light carrier/cruiser that was stripped and converted for cargo and transport roughly five years after the end of the First Cylon War. Designed by Devin 'Venardhi' Jacobsen and illustrated by Alexandre Laroche.
