  • here is the new trailer: https://youtu.be/XRVD32rnzOw
as a german magazine comment says: "it doesn't survive the trailer!" typical jj-style - action, blendovers, motobike stunts and swordfights with alienwomen....it's that still star trek?

  • I hate also the new movies. When you took a look on the new trailer you see that everything is still the same like in every J.J. Abrams film. A lot of action...loosing again and again the Enterprise *gape*

  • well, my friend kmpr'rak. during the last three decades we became dinosaurs in terms of star trek.
it is obviously, that there a new generation has risen with new taste and needs. they are not familiar with the "old" vision and ethics of star trek. so we would have to narrate this, but i don't think, that there is really a susceptiveness.
interesting in my opinion is, that in the new star wars movie they've repeated the story with a new generation and didn't change the basics of the original story. even the plot is the same. unfortunately they didn't the same with star trek. they bound the last timeline move nemesis together with the original story and created a new alternate timeline. so that's how they killed star trek as we dinosaurs knew it from the beginning. sad, but that's how reality is.
what i can't unterstand, that they also stopped the fanfilm fraction to keep "old" star trek alive - i mean axanar. so we have to face reality.
WE'RE DINOSAURS! and everybody knows, what happend to them.........
